Introduction

Leishen CX16 is a light weight, compact and high accuracy 3D LIDAR scanner. The device can generate 320,000 points per second and the vertical resolution is 2 degree. It also has 360 degree horizontal FoV with 150m detection range and ±3cm accuracy. CX16 has been widely used in autonomous vehicle, ADAS, smart transportation as well as 3D mapping applications such as logistics and service robots etc. With C16 you will be able to work under harsh condition such as strong vibration or shock of 500m/sec2 .The IP67 protection ensures that your product will not be damaged by dirt or dust which could cause a malfunctioning device .

Working Principle

The C16 mechanical high accuracy lidar scanner adopts the Time of Flight method. The 3D laser scanner starts timing (t1) when the laser pulses are sended out. And when the laser encounters the target object and the light returns to the sensor unit, the receiving end stops timing (t2).
Distance = Speed of Light*(t2 – t1)/2
